Stammhaus \u2013 Age and Beauty<\/h2>\n

[\/vc_custom_heading][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/6″][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1\/1″][vc_column_text uncode_shortcode_id=”148896″]Of our three houses, the Stammhaus is the oldest. This historic farmhouse, known as a Walserhaus<\/em>, was built in 1421 and used as a classic mountain farm for several centuries. It came into the possession of our family three generations ago, when Arbogast Wolf purchased and continued to use it in its original purpose.<\/p>\n

A few decades later, in the 1950s, the Wolf family made their first guest rooms available to the public. The renovations and new building projects<\/a> which continue to this day also began during this period.<\/p>\n

In 2018, we renovated the first floor of the house and five of its guest rooms. We continued in 2022 with a complete makeover of the entrance area and implemented a shop for Resa Wants. This year, we have renovated parts of the second floor including four rooms. We always make architectural and design interventions very carefully, recognizing that the old age of the Stammhaus has in no way a negative influence on its beauty. The Stammhaus is a hit! \u2026and so is the Resa Wants Shop<\/h2>\n

Because we like to be delighted just as much as our guests do, we have a very fine sense for anything that\u2019s calling out for a change. Our old reception area wasn\u2019t ideal, and Resa Wants<\/a> has long been ready for its own home. To address both of these needs, we\u2019ve renovated parts of the ground floor and given them new roles. The freshly plastered fa\u00e7ade section, with its large window, attracts guests and visitors alike to the new heart of our Stammhaus. Standing in the entrance area, you\u2019ll be happily uncertain as to where to look or go first …<\/p>\n

Perhaps to the right, towards the reception, because there\u2019s such a striking handmade piece of furniture catching your eye? Or should you instead have a quick look at the room to the left, a parlor and a store in one, which already piqued your curiosity when you glanced at it through the window? Whichever direction you choose, it\u2019s best to set everything down first and take your time to soak up the delicious atmosphere of both rooms. Preferably with coffee, sunshine, and a nice chat.<\/p>\n

Large rooms, small rooms, some with two beds and some with more, with balcony and without \u2013 like a group of characters making up one big family.<\/p>\n

All the rooms have at least one thing in common though: our Spa<\/a> is mere steps away. They retain all of their original charm and are highly conducive to cosy get-togethers large or small. This is also where we serve the evening meals.
